Man Shik, originally from Haeundae, went fishing on the high seas four years ago and lost a colleague working in a tsunami. He now leads a simple life by holding a small sushi shop and is preparing to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Yeon Hee. While these seemingly trivial domestic affairs are taking place, a geologist, an expert in tsunami research, discovers that the East Sea shows signs of activity similar to those in the Indian Ocean at the time of the 2004 tsunami. Despite its warnings, the Disaster Reduction Agency states that Korea is not likely to be affected. When he discovers that a great tsunami is leaving Japan and heading straight to the Korean peninsula, he has only ten minutes to lose!
