Kong Da Shan
Kong Dashan (1990, China) is a filmmaker based in Beijing. He graduated from the directing department of Beijing Film Academy (MFA). During his years at the academy, he produced several short films which were selected in many film festivals in China. His directorial debut feature Journey to the West (2021) is a sci-fi about chasing faded love. It is also inspired by the iconic Space Exploration Magazine, a magazine that existed in China in the 1980s and 1990s. The film had its world premiere at Pingyao International Film Festival, where it won the prize for Best Film in the Fei Mu Awards.
